Iv carried firearms for a living in some capacity or the other for 15 years. I’ve used many leather holsters from Galco, Bianchi, El Paso and many other brands. Unfortunately none of them made a 3” S&W N frame holster that would work for me. I was preparing for a trip to Montana and wanted a good holster to carry my bear gun. After looking for weeks, weighing options between expensive, long weight time custom holsters and some too good to be true cheaper premade options. I elected to try the latter option. Unfortunately, the holster was lost in the mail and no one from the company would respond. I was running out of time and tried one more google search, which lead me to Angry Dick’s. I reached out and to my surprise my call was answered immediately by Mr. Dick. I explained my situation and asked if he could have a holster made and delivered before my departure. I was assured it wouldn’t be a problem and was given his personal guarantee. Within days I received a personal text, apologizing for my issue with the previous holster company, with photos of my new holster. A few more days and it arrived. I don’t usually wear or recommend outside the waistband holsters. But when I saw the beauty and craftsmanship that goes in to an Angry Dick Holster, I had no choice but to add one to my lineup. Whether you want to rock it at a BBQ, or where in the woods, the fit and finish is PERFECT and is built to last a lifetime. My S&W Model 19 Carry Comp fits very secure but I still have a smooth and fast draw cycle.
This is my second holster from Dick. I wanted a little special stamping to commemorate the birth of my first Grandchild and he took care of me. The holster fits the S&W Carry Comp perfectly. The angle on the belt is just right with the forward cant and pulls the grip in to the body to aid in concealment. It provides enough friction to maintain the gun but doesn’t hinder during draws. I received my custom avenger holster last week and it is of the same quality, fit and finish as my two pancake holsters I had purchased previously from AD. This one is for an Ed Brown and is trimmed in bear hide. This one may be my favorite, tough to say, all three are near perfect functionally and aesthetically. Beautiful holster.
